Where did the time go?

Holy Hannah where has the time gone? Ok I swear I was going to post about Christmas and I'm not sure what happened but here it is. It was exciting and so great to see there faces. I was so worried that they would be disappointed that we didn't get them anything for Christmas since we had bought for some under privileged kids. It didn't phase them they were still so excited. Especially since Kolby asked Santa for a family vacation and of coarse Santa does not like to disappoint so we're going to Disney World. Santa brought Karlee an ipod and Kasen got a nintendo DS. Oh and a webkinz that they have been begging for every time we go to the store. So there it is! Maybe one day I will finally get some pictures down loaded so I can post them. Justin and my best friend Keri surprised me with Keri coming out to visit me for a week in February. We had such a blast. I miss her a ton all ready. Justin I'm pretty sure is winning the husband of the year award for that one. Sorry ladies he's taken! Kasen has started TaeKwonDo with Kolby and LOVES it! He does flying side kicks all over the house, store, school, etc. He thinks he's a ninja. Its great. Karlee is doing so good in dance it is amazing how well she can remember things. Her teacher shows the step to her once and she can remember. I don't remember picking up on stuff that fast! But I don't remember a lot of things after having kids.

American Idol

I know I haven't blogged in forever but tonight we are watching American Idol as a family. We love to pop popcorn and watch people not make it...I know it's kind of mean but it is what it its. The best part is the kids reactions....Kasen said, "Mom the guy with the yellow hair he looks like Kung Fu Panda." Justin and I almost peed our pants. Karlee told Justin not to try out for American Idol because they would tell him NO! Kolby has commented on some freaky hair do's and asks us "what's wrong with them" when they freak out because they didn't make it. Kids they say the funniest things. I can't believe that some of these people honestly think they are going to make it.

X-mas...What should I do ?

This year we have decided as a family that we are not going to trade gifts. I know...it sounds mean but are kids have everything that they need and more. We asked are kids if they we would be upset if we didn't get them anything for Christmas, there was a very long pause (are kids are kids of coarse) but they said they would agree to not have a present form Justin and I; if they could pick out the toys for the little boy and girl that didn't have any toys. (Are kids are positive that they have been good and Santa is coming, they are so spoiled) So tonight we went shopping for a 12 year old girl and a 5 year old boy. Justin and I, OK I was probably way more into it then anyone else. Let's face it I think I am the only one in the family that actually likes to shop......I wish I could get paid for shopping. (Back to reality) I guess the whole point of this blog is..I wonder what my kids will say on Christmas morning when the tree is a few presents short and nothing is from Justin and I. I wonder if we are teaching them a good lesson early or will they feel like we neglected them. I know it is kind of silly to worry but I wonder are my children to young to really grasp that concept. What should I do?

Thanksgiving

Unfortunately we did not go home for Thanksgiving!!!!! Luckily we have awesome neighbors that invited us over. The Pelots have become very good friends of ours which works out great since they have 3 children that are kids love to play with them. Tracey and John are a ton of fun too. when you can't be with family the next best thing is good friends. We deep fried a turkey and cooked all the fixings. Yup, we cooked, ate, got fat and we were merry. So that's what we did!

OK here it is for all of you who have asked for a pic of Justin and I. We hardly have any pics of us because we are always taking them. This pic believe it or not was actually taken by Duncan. We decided to go hiking one day with the kids since we didn't get to do any camping this summer.
